What is a theatre like when nothing is being performed? Theatre ZOO takes you into corners of the historic building of the South Bohemian Theatre that are usually closed to the public. Meet the various “species” of theatre workers in their natural habitat – from the offices to the backstage, where preparations for the premiere of the opera Don Giovanni are in full swing. With the “keepers” from the Small Theatre you will discover the theatre professions, their working rituals, relationships and the rules by which this organism runs. Expect commentary with a wink, small interactive tasks and a chance to see the theatre from places you never reach during an ordinary performance. Set out on a playful expedition to meet the people without whom the curtain would never rise!
