South Bohemian Theatre

The playful Theatre Zoo turns individual workplaces into remarkable "exhibits" and, with guides from the Little Theatre, shows you the everyday life of a theatre, its working rituals and the preparations for the premiere of the opera Don Giovanni. The "enclosures" of the individual professions will carry mock zoological labels describing the species of theatre workers, their typical behaviour and how they live together. Visitors will also be able to join in symbolically and try some of the work themselves. "Keepers" from the Little Theatre will take you backstage in the historic building of the South Bohemian Theatre during a perfectly ordinary working day. You will meet the people and professions that keep a theatre running but whom you never see in the spotlight.
